During peak season (15th Nov to 15th May) The Highlander Arms offers casual pub style meals using locally procured ingredients where possible. Dishes served include our very popular steak, chicken parmigiana, wallaby shanks, burgers and a range of other seasonal items.
We are open for dinner service only.
During the peak season the restaurant is generally open Monday to Saturday between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm but we recommend booking your table with reception when making your accommodation booking.

There are currently no other dining locations or facilities to purchase any other provisions so please plan ahead and bring your own provisions.
Group dining and special events are available for 20 people or more on request (t’s &c’s apply) and require pre booking.
At all times of the year Tarraleah Estate is able to organise private dining, day or night, for groups of 20 to 150 people (smaller numbers can be catered for with a surcharge). We can tailor our options to suit small private celebrations for specials occasions, casual club get-togethers, as well as weddings, corporate events, and product launches.

If you prefer to prepare your own meals, the majority of our accommodation is self-contained, stocked with plates, cutlery, and cooking utensils….. You will, however, need to bring your own ingredients. The nearest supermarket is at Ouse, 35 minutes away. There is also a supermarket at New Norfolk, Queenstown and a small general store at Bronte Park. We recommend you plan ahead and check opening hours.
