Art Deco Cottages

Tarraleah’s Cottages were hand built by Tasmanian craftsmen in the 1930’s and have now been fully restored and furnished to retain their Art Deco Style.  Each of our 15 cottages are self-contained, featuring full kitchens, dining spaces, lounge rooms with fireplaces, a laundry, sunroom and 2 bathrooms.  The cottages have retained the period style and charm which made them a 1930’s luxury and remain an icon style today.

The majority of the cottages have 3 bedrooms except for the 2 Superintendents cottages which have 4.  Each Cottage has a valley view or a lovely town and garden outlook.

The cottages are ideal for couples, families, colleagues or groups of friends travelling together who are looking for space, a place to make your own meals and even a backyard for the kids to run around in.

Note: All cottage bookings require self-catering unless our  Restaurant  the Highlander Arms Restaurant is open (selected dates only). When closed, a limited number of dinner deliveries are available in  to book.

Each cottage has a slightly different bedding configuration so if you have specific requirements you are best to call us or mention in your booking notes.
